I'd like to replace some of the deeper drawers in my Kobalt chest with multiple shallow drawers. At quick glance, this appears to be possible, but I need to find the drawers for sale.

Can anyone confirm if this is possible, and if so, where to buy the drawers?

On a related note -- I'm looking for an intermediate chest for the previous generation (black) chests -- any pointers where I might find one?

I think I would contact Kobalt/Lowe's Customer service and see if they can help you; this link below takes you to Lowe's contact info, so I guess Kobalt doesn't have a unique phone number or service info: https://www.kobalttools.com/
Click on "contact us" right hand bottom link! Good luck! :)
If they can't help; you might need to investigate and found out who the OEM for your box is; you might look for patent numbers, UL cert number (Underwriters Laboratories certification #) and look them up to find out who the OEM is! The good OEMs (e.g. Waterloo) will help you and sell you replacement parts but YMMV! Good luck!
Google patent # search: http://www.google.com/patents
Underwriters Laboratories certification # search: http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/template/LISEXT/1FRAME/gfilenbr.html

Billy, thanks so much...that sounds like a good strategy. I'll start investigating this week.

If anyone has a source for the drawers that they can point out, or wants to sell their own, LMK!

I did that with my HF box, ordered shallow drawers to replace the deeper ones...
