Replacement Glass Globe for ceiling fixture

Would anyone know where I can find the replacement glass for this fixture? or what the brand/manufacturer part # is.

There might be a maker's sticker on the top of the fixture. You'll need to pull it down to see though....

Or you could think about updating the lighting fixtures in your house. My parents have stuff like that in a 120 year old farmhouse (not *that* one though).

Good luck, most residential lighting now is all ChiCom, it will be very difficult to find but start looking on Ebay, they used to have a lot of that stuff, now only to find yours....

I once needed a replacement, couldn't find an exact one, but found one close enough (I measured carefully) at Home Depot. They were able to order just the globe, which cost about 1/3 the price of the whole fixture.

From the looks of the size of yours, I doubt it is going to be a $15 globe.

Were they there when you bought the house and if so, how old is the house?

These are not at my home, these are at a friends place of business and they are most likely 40 years old (or older). The person who replace the bulbs did not get the set screws in properly and missed the holes. So as he continued to tighten the globe he stopped short of cracking them. Within minutes gravity did its job.

I stopped by to take another look for a manufacturer and there is none listed anywhere. I asked if someone could drop one form the ceiling and then we could check the top for a brand marking.

Found this on Grandbrass.com. It's called a Williamsburg style fitter. This may not be the right size, but the terminology is useful.

Any real lighting stores in your neighborhood? I had an ancient odd globe which was broken. Had another fixture that I was able to take the good globe from and went to a lighting (and electrical) shop. They must have had 500 lights hanging from the ceiling and most of them were on. The 'old' sales person said something like "you have a Model 123454321 made by so and so company"; and, with a couple second pause while he looked up info in the counter catalog rack, said he could have one by Friday and the cost would be $**.**. Should I order one? I was speechless but managed to say YES.

Worth a try.

Grand Brass has lots of lamp stuff. What they lack is good customer service.
