Trying to find a replacement green soft handle for my thlf72 ratchet. I called snap on which they no longer make and ebay was a no go.

Any suggestions on where to find one

It's listed on their site, but I find they're very, very, very often "backordered" on just about anything in that green color. They told you they no longer make what, the green handle in specific?

https://shop.snapon.com/repair-product/Handle,-Soft-Grip/TH936-12G

They have the red (TH936-12) and orange (TH936-12O) in stock, but they told you the green is no longer made? Maybe that'll explain why some of the green stuff that I look up is always backordered...

I'm looking for one for my FHLF80A. Currently has a red one, would like to switch it to green, but backordered when I looked the other day. Edit: I see this one is in stock now. Woo!

They told me the green was discounted. Just got off the phone with them 10-15 min ago. The rep said they had red and orange just not green.

Monday I was able to get a green soft handle ordered for my FHLF80A. It and a repair kit are on the way. I have been trying to replace/rebuild any tools during the covid boredom haha

I'd been eying the soft handle ratchets but I wondered about the longevity of the soft handle material.

How long on average are you guys getting out of them?

Years. Honestly they are dirty more than anything. Figure while I rebuild them why not replace the handle

Mine would probably have basically no wear on it if I would stop hitting the damn driveway with it :) (I am a home/hobbyist mechanic, not a pro that is using this for hours a day every day)

I got my FHLF80A used probably 5 years ago with some wear on the handle and I've hit the driveway while loosening bolts several times and really it has only gotten a little bit worse. I mostly want to replace it for cosmetics. It has not worn through at any point; it's just not as smooth/nice in the hand as a new handle.

I have gotten oil on it (no damage) but I don't think I have gotten fuel on it, so not sure how it would hold up with all the various different chemicals you might get on it.

I love the FHLF80A so much, including the soft handle. What a great ratchet this thing is. I don't have a THLF72 though.
