Hi All

I have a Ryobi DP121L 12" drill press. It got dropped a few months ago, and what I thought was just a cracked pulley is a whole bent motor shaft.

The other side of things (spindle shaft?) checks out with a dial indicator.

Motor size is 5.5" can dia, 7.5" high, shaft is a hair under 9/16, 4" long, bolt pattern is 4x3in. This appears to be a nonstandard size (of course) and the official replacement is $135-160.

Should I be able to find a motor that would fit here, with the same shaft size, for a better price, or will I be happier with an oem replacement?

I was supposed to be working on the table saws today...

Surplus Center? Rather than just dimensions, is there a Frame designation on the motor?

No frame size stamp that I can see, I'll take it off entirely later on. As far as I know, frame size is just the start, and shaft diameter and length are additional specs.

Seems I might be asking my buddy for a contribution to a new ryobi motor.
