Replacement Snap On Screwdriver Blades

Hi- does anyone have any recommendations on replacement blades for Snap on screwdrivers? I know Snap On sells them directly for tons of $$ and they seem to be reluctant to send out replacement blades because of liability. I don't want to loose my hard handles so I need to find a replacement option or two for blades.

Is there any other company that makes similar blades that have worked for an SDD4 or SDDP42 screwdriver? Thanks!

That's odd. I have had no problem getting replacement blades. I've had them replaced by the SO truck, and called and got replacements sent to me for me to install. How did they seem reluctant to send you replacements? Last time I called, they offered to replace the entire screwdriver, but when I explained I wanted to keep my hard handle sets intact, they sent out the blades instead. I'd definitely warranty them instead of purchasing some other brand. After all, that high price you paid initially was to pay for the lifetime blade replacements.

I have never had a problem buying just the blades. When I use to travel I would buy a few "special" long 1/8 tips and replace them myself on the road and swap them out with the dealer when I got home.

I don't see it being worth the hassle to cannibalize other sets of tools, as most screwdrivers are viewed as disposable, and thus you would need to buy new ones and destroy them to get at the balde. If you could get witte ph1/2 blades in SO instinct handles you'd have an amazing driver tho

You can buy them on ebay, but snap on will warranty or sell you repair parts if you call them.
