Replacement Sockets

I think I'm going to have to just resolder these and reuse them but I thought I would ask. Does anyone know the name of these types of antique Leviton sockets from a 1930's from a ceiling light I'm rebuilding? The cardboard insulation disintegrated. The way they fit into the cast hole there really isn't any room for any other type of socket. I can take the little wing mount off but the replacement would have to have it and be the same depth because of the way the sit in the cast aluminum.

Just a heads up, the cardboard insulation on vintage electrical equipment is a lot of times not just cardboard, but asbestos paper. I wouldn’t freak out about it because it’s such a small amount, but you might want to clean up with a wet soapy paper towel if it’s powdery and getting all over the place.

Leviton makes good quality "Edison base" replacement sockets. Not sure if they would have one with that little tab on the bottom.

If the originals aren't bent or messed up there's really no reason to replace. Many replacements use thinner or cheaper metal.

The paper insulators are available off the internet but I've never found them locally.

I sprayed it out with water so there was no threat but thanks for the heads up I will have to take care of the trash before it dries out.

I'm leaning toward this.....I can get the short standard cardboard insulators and solder in new wires of the size and length that I need to get to the center of it. If I buy prewired they only come with 7 inches which isn't enough wire so now I would have another connection to deal with.

Thanks for all the ideas but I think the modern versions are too deep. I contacted an antique lampshop online to see their input and they also have the cardboards for these old ones. I will probably rewire these THEN order the cardboard just in case there is an issue.
