Replacement strips for my vidmar

I recently got another vidmar cabinet and wanted to upgrade the look by adding the strips to the drawer pulls.
as you know they are almost always missing or trashed. So in my cabinets I have just done without.
recently with the addition of another cabinet I wanted to dress them up,a bit.
looked at buying replacements, nope that’s too much.
looked at buying the paper and clear material and cutting them myself, spend money and do work….ill pass
what material do I have on hand? Mmm I have some black plastic sheet material……ok

so I cut them up strips and slid them in. Then I’ll add label maker labels to them. Done

There is a guy on E-bay that sells them. They are made out of a hard board that holds up well to oil etc. way better than the factory paper / plastic film. I bought a bunch for mine and they have held up well. But I will say the drawer labels are why I prefer my Listas over my Vidmars.

I used strips of formica that I cut.

I wish I could say the formica was my idea, but I saw it elsewhere. It looks great, just like yours.

I have made replacement strips from poster board, purchased at a Craft Supply store.

I had a bunch of old Levolor mini blinds that were being replaced. The 1” slots fit my Lyon cabinet perfectly.

Of course, Formica works as well.

The US general pulls have a slot for the paper strip they provide. Then a thin strip on clear plastic that slides in in front of it. I used black posterboard and white text label maker which looks pretty nice I think. I would think the same could be done for these.

white formica (post) form is a great idea... you can write on it with marker & remove it years later with lacquer thinner
