I ordered a battery for my scan tool thinking battery that came with it was shot. Opened scan tool up to confirm what battery was in it and charged it up. Well new battery came but scan tool seems to be holding charge. Not sure if I should replace it anyway or hold onto new battery as a spare. Its a 3.7V 5050 mAh LiPo pack. Do these packs last without being connected and charged frequently? Its just a generic Made in China pack off Amazon. Scan tool is about 3 or 4 years old and hasn't given me any problems while connected to vehicle.
