I'm changing the front panel on my Miele dishwasher. I no longer have the template. Miele says they don't have a copy to send me. Any ideas?

You really want to use the old panel as a template. It's not just WxH, you also need to match the depth, so you need to see what's currently in it. You can go thinner if needed, by using a backer (eg, cardboard, etc). You can NOT go thicker. Some are 1/8", some 1/4", etc.

Also, be aware of weight. Too different will require spring adjustments.

Back in the dark ages GE dishwashers could come with 6 colors, 3 double sided two color panels. To match all those awful colors that 60's appliances could come with. Of course these were thin painted panels but did match just about everything, Alvacado, harvest gold, white, copper tone, beige and I can't remember the last one. That was before stainless steel or black so those were not in there.

Yeah, I remember those! They made stocking DW really easy (I was in the appliance distribution business). One model, all the colors. Black was a color, as was something like (memory ain't what it used to be) a SS, but not SS. Maybe Brushed Chrome?
