The duct work in my house is shoty at best. Two years ago I had the entire heating and air system replaced EXCEPT the ductwork. Some band aids were done, but it was simply a cost issue.

I am now in a position where I would like to finish this up and have all of the duct work replaced with the newest gucci. The current flex stuff is sagging collapsed, insulation is ripped, etc.

I dont know what I dont know. I think I want insulated rigid ducts.

Somebody please school me on what I need to be looking for and the smart things to discuss with contractors.

Flex duct is not bad as long as it is installed properly. Too often its not, with poor strapping kinking it off.
