Replacing seals on 2 post lift

I'm in the process of replacing seals on my 2 post lift. It's an International 9.000lbs lift.
Do the pistons come off the rod?I took the nut off,but the piston doesn't want to come off.I tried tapping it with a brass hammer with no luck.The cylinders are labeled PRINCE AN-547.

Im very inexperienced in this. Ut when rebuilding cylinders hydraulic and punamatic i have never removed the piston.

Usually just slide on
Watch for set screws

Piston should slide off, might be stuck. Will the piston turn on the rod? Might screw on but not likely. Might be an Oring between the piston and rod.
