I recently acquiried 2 Snap-on tools chests:
Bottom: KR 5553 (I can only find infomation on KR555, not one with "3")
Any suggestions on:
1) Replacement options? Are there replacement sliders available that use ball bearings? If not any other options? The drawers have the slider mating connection incorporated into the drawer itself so the rail is not replaceable.
2) Will anti-friction coatings (such as Dry-slide) work?
3) Any other options and suggestions available?
What kind of costs would be associated with the replacement options?
Thank you!
Glenn
P.S. Is there any site where I can look up information using the serial numbers?

My problem is that the drawers do not slide easily at all. The top cabinet drawers are worse than the bottom, but I would like to get both to very easily slide open and close.79
