About 8-9 years ago I bought a Chinese piece of $#@* disguised as a drill press from HF and a similar quality belt grinder from Northern Tool. Any kind of real work would stop the motor in either tool until you release pressure to let it free spin up to speed again.

Ive been watching on EBAY and CL for good replacements and finally made 2 scores. A Burrking belt grinder with very little use and a well used but will be fine for a home shop Clausing drill press. :rocker:

Kinda funny, I've got a pic of my drill press in the same pose :lol_hitti Yours is definitely a step or two up from mine tho. Couple real nice pieces of equipment you have there, put 'em to work!

Congratulations on moving up to some real tools. You will find it's a real pleasure to use good tools.
It always amazes me the number of people that buy Chinese ****, knowing it's ****, then spending the rest of the time they own it making apologies for it.
