Repurposing trumpet lubricants

My daughter played the trumpet in middle school and bought tuning slide grease, tuning slide oil, and valve oil to maintain her trumpet. She doesn’t have it any more and we still have 99% of these lubricants.

I could donate them back to the school, but I’ve been a little lazy about that. Can these lubricants be used in the garage for anything?

They're probably Vaseline and mineral oil. You could use the grease on o-rings and the liquid as air tool lube. I know I'd try it.

See if an Armstrong ratchet can sound like Louis Armstrong.

I remember using cork grease playing the clarinet. Probably more work to donate the stuff to a school,especially these days.

Valve oil has traditionally been nothing more than deodorized kerosene. Some "manufacturers" add a dye to it (blue or red) to differentiate theirs from the competition, but it's still kerosene.

Looking like its a touch down from 3 in 1, and more questionable than Starrett instrument oil. I would not use the grease on drawer slides.

If its thin oil, is it good enough for sewing machines?

The oil is almost 100% chance of being plain mineral oil.
