I can read Wilton, Made in USA, and a "500" below the stationary jaw. To me this looks like a 5" Machinists model 500S. Might this be correct? Believe it was bought new about 8-10 years ago and remains unused.
Just thought of another question -- What is the significance of the embossed "500"? I assumed it was identifying jaw width but many retailer images of 500S/N models have a "450" embossed. With a jaw width of 5", throat of 4.25" and 8" capacity I don't see the significance of "450".
*EDIT* -- The more I think about it the more I realize the use of "450" images is nothing more than a result of stock photo availability. Seems as long as it's bullet shaped the image suffices.
