Requesting help to identify this fitting from my Craftsman air compressor

I'm trying to re-plumb my old Craftsman Professional air compressor (adding a copper diy air dryer). I have been searching for a couple of hours now, but can't figure out this fitting style. It has a 9/16-18 thread (actually 71/128"-18). The black thing is an o-ring that the fitting butts up to. The tubing is 3/8", if that makes any difference.

It threads into the outlet of the head and feeds into the in-tank check valve. I'm wanting to make a new outlet tube with an inline check valve going off to the air dryer. And I'll need to tee off before the check valve to the shut off valve.

I'm wanting a new tube so that I don't have to cut up this one.

Thanks for you help.

Thanks for the input.

From looking at the o-ring, it's been compressed on both sides.

And the o-ring sits in a groove. Also, the tubing is not flared at all.

Flareless compression fitting with elastomeric seal. There are still various brands and types. Sometimes there's a stamp or logo identifying the manufacturer.

Thanks everyone. I've decided to just cut the tubing and use a compression fitting. I'm probably not buying a new compressor until this one dies... and I bought it new in'98.
