I’m in the middle of the garage build. Very small garage - only 11’ wide x 20’ long x 10’ ceiling. With a lift.
The garage door will be raised. I’m in the middle of cladding the walls with wood. And the workbench top will be built soon.
THE QUESTION.....I’m adding lights and outlets for multiple things, and need some direction or feedback on the quantity of lights so that it’s not blinding bright or too dark.
The plan is to install LED strip lights on the ceiling. I prefer a warmer feel so a color temperature of 4,000K or 5,000K. The current thought is to install four, 4ft strip lights. Direct wired - I do not want to see any wires.
HD has a simple option, Commercial Lighting 4ft 40-watt 3600 lumen 4000K direct wire fixture. Model# 54283191
I’ve also looked at the Barrina products. They look slick and have a 5000K option, and I really like how slim the lights are. I would have to manage the cord of course.
HD also has an ETi product that has less lumens but is more expensive. I don’t know if is just that much better, because otherwise...why is it more expensive? Model# 54261143
I’m open to suggestions and feedback. Whatever the direction, I want to install them this weekend. So if it needs to be ordered rather than picking up at HD - I need to do that quickly.
Thanks!
Grant
