Wonder if the guy built himself a wooden toolbox. I understand that's popular.... (Or should I say "poplar"? ;-)

I don't know what they will go for but I know I would not pay that much for them. I am not sure if I would even pay $500 for them being used.

Wonder why he posted 4 pictures, when there are only 2. Maybe overwhelm the potential buyer with the same pictures twice. Who the hell knows. Good luck with getting that much for those boxes.

$950+ on sale? I can go out and get the top and bottom right now for $600

Bottom 370 -20% = 296

Top 300 -20% = 240

Total ~ 540

No idea what the locker goes for but something tells me it wasnt $400 after the liberal discount and 20% coupon.

Cant expect more than new price for a used box. What do i think it should go for? $500 if its in pristine condition.

There is a guy here in OKC that is trying to capitalize on one too. I hope no-one buys it if it's is a $299.00 HF box. But I guess that is free capitalism.

Here is the CL link.

Well theres a sucker born every minute. Heres a good example

Socket tray set 35.00 shipped. Great deal right? Quite a few people seem to think so judging by the sales history.

Same thing that HF sells for 18 every day.

I got 650 for them. I did pay 949.00 on sale (no 20% coupon). They were in like new condition and I left room for neg. Some of you guys act like it's criminal to ask a fair price.

I wouldn't give $10 for it but your math is off. Should be around $530 by your numbers.

People put harbor freight stuff for sale all the time and you can usually buy it cheaper at the store with a coupon sale. Then they say that it retails for $***, everyone knows harbor freight prices are fake and they never sell anything at the "retail price".

Not criminal and my opinion wasnt based on what a "fair" value was simply based on the size and quality of the box but rather on what the current going rate is new from the store. I think you lucked out in that you didnt get burned by their incredibly low sale pricing worse than you did. If i were in your shoes then i would of tried to recoup as much as possible as well.

a pawn shop had just the bottom cabinet without the rollers sold on layway for $250. It's been picked up. Sounds like you did ok on your sale.

Rural King sell the Grip brand that looks just like the HF ones everyday for $3.99 for 1/2" drive, $2.99 for 3/8" drive, and $1.99 for the 1/4" drive. Last weekend I bought a few at $1.00 off each in the weekly sale bill.

If you are happy, and the buyer is happy, 'Nuf said!

The guy had seen my add on CL and wanted the same set up. Ther local HF wasn't going for the 20% on top of the sale price but the one 60 miles away would. These boxes were "As new", very clean and had everything that came with them new minus the crate. Not only did he save on the boxes themselves he also saved the 8% sales tax on top of that. He was a nice sensible honest guy who came right out and told me the NMB store wouldn't accept the coupon. He had cash money and ask if I was at all flexible on the price. I dropped 50 dollars and he bit. I wasn't hurting to sell them but it was more of I was trying to free up space in my garage. The best he could get out of HF with was 898+8% he saved money, I recouped a good % of my money so we were both OK with the deal.

When I sold my HF top and Bottom Box, I listed it for $500 and got tons of emails within hours. Sold it the next morning. I left room in my price for negotiation but didn't really need it. It had been used for a couple years, no scratches, dents or gouges, but used nonetheless.

Just some stuff I could risk in cardboard boxes and I thought I would be storing it much longer.
