I saw this video (see 3:09) where a guy made a reservoir for cleaning fuel injectors. I'm wondering if there is an easier way. What do you guys think about retrofitting a paint sprayer? I'm thinking I could just put a fitting on the tank or try to find and adapter to go over the nozzle. What do you guys think?

I think a modified paint sprayer would be slick and fast. ?Might get a new paint gun (Harbor Freight, right?) so that you don't accidentally loosen up and introduce old paint gunk into your fuel injector.

That's what I thought. I have an HF sprayer and see two potential problems. One are the fittings. I would either need to drill a hole in the bottom of the tank and put a barbed fitting on it, or find some kind of an adapter for the nozzle. I think drilling a hole in the tank is kind of kludgey, and have no idea where to start looking for an adapter for the nozzle. Any ideas?

The other potential problem is the tank leaking around the top. The Harbor Freight sprayers have a plastic "gasket" at the top. I suppose I could find something to cut a gasket from. Maybe some old rubber?

Remember that this will only work if you are working on a gas motor. Diesels require from a few hundred to tens of thousands of psi to open and spray. If I remember right, you won't even get a dribble out of the injectors on my 2001 VW until you get over 300 psi on them. my 6.0 requires over 500 psi to open.
