A owner's manual isn't going to tell you much. It will be about 10 pages of CYA safety instructions from the Sears legal department and a parts diagram. That is all that my similar Sears compressor had for a manual. Campbell Hausfeld made these for Sears and others depending on which brand sticker they applied. CH has owner's manuals online.

Any particular information that you were looking for?

Got one of these Samson Air Hose Reels 3/8" X 50'.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LARM7R6/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I got it off ebay. No one bid on it except me so I got it for:

bid + shipping = delivered
$1 + $47 = $48

Probably connect the restored compressor to the hose reel with some 3/4-inch copper.

Seems like over-kill for occasional residential use but for $48 I thought it was a good deal.
How come you did not paint it back to the original color is it because Granger wants $50 for a spray can I mix my own painting up some of it matches some of it doesn’t close enough I had a few modifications I should’ve kept it stock. The one on the right is a 1975 model and the one in on inThe one on the right is a 1975 model and the one on the left is a 1977 model

Glad I found this thread!! I just acquired a 106.153881 I think? I tried to run it on 120 and it sounded beautiful but I could tell it needs 240 volts because it slowed down to a crawl at 50 psi. But no leaks, no abnormal noises. Will be a nice project. This is heavy as all get out!! The tank steel thickness seems heavier gauge than most tanks in my opinion. Not too worried about it failing, as some have cautioned me about. 1000004514.jpg

Wow that looks fantastic. Thanks! I guess this confirms I gotta keep a 3hp motor on this and run 240 to my garage. I'm measuring about 75 feet, so a 240v 20a circuit with 12awg should be able to handle this 15 amp 3hp motor. According to Cerrowire chart.

Yes, that is the correct, original color. I've had the same model I bought new in 1974. As an aside, does anyone know of a belt guard from other Sears compressors that will fit this compressor with few to no modifications ? No guard was available for this back then.

I ended up tossing the tank. The bottom internally looked like the Grand canyon, from rust. Not safe. I still have the plastic belt guard if you want it. No cost but shipping.
