I rescued a Walden 3150 1/4" drive ratchet. After a good cleaning and a little lube, it works well.

Does anyone have a source for reasonably priced hardware? When i rescued it, it was missing a screw. The screw in question is a 3-48 x 3/16 flathead.

My local hardware stores wants me to buy a full box. All I need is one stinkin screw.

Thanks in advance

Ebay will have several options with 3-48 threads.

Our local hardware (Ace) closed when the owner got ready to retire. He had the largest selection to odd ball hardware.

Often times if I were in for a single screw and it was a few cents he wouldn't even charge me. He said I'll make it back next time your in.

Just checked McMaster Carr.. they have them but again must buy 100.. sometimes they sell in packets of 5 and 10, but not this size..

I can check my local Ace and send you one if you can wait?

Another option, sometimes you can get a sample. Ask, can't hurt.
