I picked this up at a garage sale a while back, always wanted a standing drill press. Completely disassembled it. Even NAPA had a new belt. 73f753d754c72796815c602b1eaf35b6.jpgGot it for 65.006b845a0e0a5723aac85ac241e2d3b85e.jpg45a481175ca0f4ef0c0023b3258ff10c.jpgffb1b05ad04a52b43d8f7e6fd33ac17c.jpg1a5ff25b633d09daf99d55d4469321e6.jpgc0b78fa9fb5d743a6af4a96db514bcfc.jpg

What a nice machine. I would love to find one with a foot pedal. Great job!
What paint did you go with?

Model 15 017 . Thank you for the compliments! I used the hammered grey and machined grey. A couple different shades to break it up. Wire wheeled and sand blasted everything. These were built so good, once done the drill plate still had the machine grooves on it and all the caps showed very little wear inside. Foot pedal took some messing with but is a great idea I've never saw one before. I absolutely love it ,now I want to put a keyless chuck on it.

Nice work.

The foot feed is more useful for wood than steel, but still a valuable option. You could probably sell it over on OWWM for more than you paid for the whole DP.

Right on. Nice job. I like the color and everything. I just restored an old Homecraft DP, so I know what a job it is to make one look that good. It's hard to tell, did you paint the column?

Why? Keyless is not as good as keyed for drill presses or HD drill use. Great restoration.

It depends on the chuck. Go with an Albrecht keyless and you'll never want to use a primitive keyed chuck again. (except for L.H. driling) If you do L.H. drilling I'd look for a Jacobs 14N made in Hartford.

Wonderful machine and excellent restoration!!

Guys what's a good holder for the drill plate. Vises? Clamps? Mill vise? And which brand I have 7 inches between mounting holes.

I bought a slightly rusted Albrecht with a bunch of stuff for $20. Not used it yet
