I bought a broken snap on 3/8 f70 ratchet off eBay. I went to the snap on website and got them to send me a repair kit. Now I'm thinking that I take the ratchet to get blasted, and chrome plated. Is that just too much for a double stamped f70 ratchet or not? Let me know

Thanks

Too much as it's one of the most common ratchets out there and not worth much less than 20 bucks, It would cost way more than its worth to blast and plate it by the time your done you could have bought a dual 80 f80.

Ben, yes it would cost more than a used F80 once done, but the F70 is a great ratchet. It is smaller in overall size, the head is much much smaller and it is the same thickness as the F80. I'd just rebuild it and see how much it gets used. i use mine a lot for the above reasons but happen to like the true industrial finish of its time.
