In the process of restoring an early 1980's Mac toolbox. The badge is in kinda rough shape. Hard to see in pics but the chrome is chipping off in small bits on every letter. Any suggestions on how to restore? My thought was to sand/strip the whole thing down to bare metal, then prime, then spray with black gloss enamel. After that, sand the enamel off the raised lettering and hit the letters with one of those chrome paint pens.
