This one is just the greatest!It's so BIG and heavy!That bar is just so solid with the unit. Haven't done anything to this yet. Two keys.Lock works fine.
So does the key on the previous topbox.

I have another top box in super condition almost identical to my other topbox on posted here.The main difference is the handle.It's the slightly earlier chrome rounded type.There are no stickers visable on the outside.


So here is the one I would like to restore.Main problem is the front cover which has been well hammered by someone.The drawer will have to have some work done on it and the side hinges need replacing.There is some writing on the back stamped on .It says SNAP ON TOOLS CANADA'' then a couple of numbers: KG 5080 I am not totally sure that is correct.Hard to see.
And 4 F 194.

I really like this box.It is unusual and the smaller drawers are amazing,especially that middle one.12 drawers !Heavy!This box is deep and well as tall,the amount of storage is something else!I have never seen one quite like it.

I have the missing drawer.You will see it . The drawers almost all work not bad at all ,and they are covered in all kinds of krazz in the runners.Should be able to get 'em working like the first roll cab.They are smooooth,like you wouldn't believe.

What badge would belong to this cab.In the first shot you can see the profile,but I'm not sure.

Almost sure key is broken off indside. The locking bar is lying in the drawer there and it works.

Here is the KR557 I did about 3 or 4 years ago. This was the 'after' pic right after it was done. It's still holding up well with home garage usage, but I take care of it. Paint was Rustoleum Sunrise Red (I think that's what it's called)

This Cab was in BAD shape when I got it, it looked like it fell off a truck. I spent a few months getting it to this...

Just picked this little box off CraigsList for $15 this morning. It will be my first restoration, will be spending my afternoon looking through these threads for advice!

i have several boxes i picked used/cheap at flea mkts, and 1 SO soller i pulled from the scrap dumpster.

the roller looked like it fell off a truck..

well it did

some bending the twisting got it back into "usable" shape. a few years laetr i sanded it down and sprayed it red/blue with white stars and lightning bolts to match the paint scheme of the race trucks.

i did a sand/ beadblast/ prime/sand/prime/sand/prime
(see a pattern developing here?)
and a final paint in satin black
on the outside of a early 30's vintage plvmb box.

wasnt happy with the results i got, but it's a spare/user box.
the otehr used boxes i have, i've left alone, i'll probably never buy another one that needs anything beyond a cleaning to be put to use.
