Live in FL and installing two minisplits in large external garage / recroom. Going to wall mount the condernsors and wanted to mount them high (7 ft or so) off the ground due to lack of space. Searched the web and called city inspector and still cannot get an answer. Is there a height restriction on how high the condensors can be wall mounted? Can't see 7 ft being a problem to service. Is this a bad idea?

Put it up high, less chance of damage or theft. Just make sure it is the proper distance from the building for air flow.

If the tubes run overhead (ceiling/attic) this may be of some advantage.
