Resurfacing

My floors are only 3 years old and I am not impressed with the product that I used. I used Sherwin Williams Armos seal or something like that....and it has not held up very well in a house garage and a detached shop. It has come up in some spots and it is also hard to get clean.

What is a process for resealing a used/old floor? Do I have to get off the old paint somehow? Or is there something out there that can cover up the old coat?

Anyone have any luck with a similar situation?

Yes, you will have to remove the old coating. Rent a diamond grinder and go to town.

You could also shot blast or use a chemical product to remove the existing coating.

You definitely need the old coating completely removed. I would recommend a qualified pro for the removal and reapplying of a new coating system. Call a few pro's in you area, check their references, see some finished work, preferably 3 to 5 years old. Make your decision on the quality of work one provides, not how much he or she charges. If you start to haggle and force someone to chase the buck, he or she might cut corners to meet your budget. In the end you'll get what you paid for again.

It is labor intensive or you need to rent some quality equipment.

There isn't an easy solution.
