In 1998 me & the phone phactory (AT&T) came to an agreement. They would pay me to not come to work any longer, I'd accept the smaller paycheck. (I liked what I did, I just didn't like what I had to do to be able to do it) My wife liked her job & made lots of money. Three years ago her company became less likeable. Now I thought I enjoyed being retired, but after my wife joined me I found out I was only half enjoying it. The three best years of a fairly long life, so far! We stay busy, have a reasonable income, no bills, & some good friends. You couldn't PAY me to take a job!

Been retired three years next month, 2-29-2012. I had to wait until age 65 so I would get Medicare. I got to say I do get bored on certain days as the weather is not good this time of year. It has been cold and wet. I don't think the sun has been out in two weeks. I still would never go back to work. I worked for 48 years so that's enough.
