Looking good!
Pallet wood on the wall by chance? I'm doing a horizontal pallet wood wall in one corner of my garage.
The spousal unit volunteered to stain the boards today for me while I'm busy at work. (Catching up on GJ!)

It's like pallet wood, but it's used in packaging rolls of plastic our manufacturing plant receives. Clean 48" boards with no nails. I used Varathane Weathered Wood Accelerater. Pretty rustic, but will work out for the shop.

Got home tonight and the spousal unit has 2 coats of 2 different colors of stain on the pallet wood. I've already ran it all through the table saw, so its consistent width and reasonably parallel. Busy till ?? maybe 2 weeks and I can get it on the wall and post a pic.
Hope it turns out close to as good as yours!

Looking good. What is the black and white? Paint on Sheetrock?

It's 2' by 4' panels of dry erase and chalk board I bought at Home Depot. Started the idea last year in the metal shop side and carried it over. A good place to list projects or notes. Still have some detail work to do on it.

I'll try to upload more soon, Thanks!

I can only blame this site and my imagination for how it's turning out. Lots of inspiration on here.

I love the old Scouts! is that yours in your avatar picture? Got any photos of it?

I started building the shop to work on my Scout projects. I've got the 68 800 in the avatar and a 69 800, both need work. I drove the 68 as my daily driver for about 7 years. The 68 is torn down for rebuild in the side garage.

The shop build takes most of my free time, but hopefully will get back to the Scouts soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

That is a great idea using both the caulk and dry erase board. Form and function, can't beat that.
I'll be interested in your Scout build also. I like the Blazers, Scouts and Broncos and my wife likes the Scouts and Broncos. Maybe one day we'll get a Scout.

I like the way it turned out. I guess with as long as I've been working on it, I get inspired to do something different from time to time. Wanted the whole place to have an automotive theme. Was going to do 2x2's, but settled on the larger size for usable space.

They say once you get IH rust in your blood, there's no turning back.😏

I plan to use that one for storage when everything settles down. It has room, but it all depends what you want to do in it.

I built it with 9' ceilings to have a little headroom.

I'm using it to store all my extra junk until I've got a permanent place in the 36x65 to put the stuff or use it for one of the many projects I have.

I could have been happy with just that, but as my wife says, I got carried away.

No real secret, just have a good one, and going to keep her. I did go overboard a little with the build, but that's just me. Thanks for stopping by and good luck on your shop.

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything, but thought I’d post my latest project i just finished. I had an old arc welder i got for scrap price a few years ago. i turned it into a table with a lamp. The lamp is a valve cover from a blown 6.6l Ford diesel motor I have for spare parts. Another project currently underway. I’ll post up some finished pictures of the shop and outside area.
