Anyone with a 2 post lift ever re-torque the anchor bolts? This lift has been install for 5yrs by a Mohawk rep I've never touched the bolts. I'm sure this is a question for the rep. But curious how everyone else feels, or do you just cross your fingers like me .

It's a 1992 model year 9k capacity in approx 6in concrete

Yes, I would, if they spin then you can install the epoxied anchor that would have been best from the get-go. Bonus points for predrilling completely thru the slab at the start.

Pretty sure I had an installation torque value and a lesser service torque value. Was recommended that I check service torque to 6o ft lbs every month.

* This is for concrete wedge anchors. May be different for other anchor types.

It can't hurt to check them. I have enough faith in bolts/studs and nuts that I wouldn't worry about them. But w/ the several different methods used to attach them to the concrete, I'd torque them to check the epoxy, wedge anchors, etc.

Just had a new Mohawk A7 installed. Factory authorized distributor/Installer said to check torque monthly for first six months. Installation of the wedge it anchors (3/4”) was to 150 lbft (I believe) and 75 lb ft re-torque monthly.

I worked at a car dealership that got 4 new scissor lifts installed shortly after I began working there. Because of an oversight, the lifts never got checked by the contract company we had to service our lifts. 2 years after I had been there, we had a scary close call with a 1/2ton truck getting an oil change on one of the scissor lifts.

The nuts holding the base to the floor were loose.

Check yours at a minimum. If they are say, 50ft lbs, I wouldn’t turn them any more because I’d be afraid of spinning hah. I’m sure the spec is higher but I’d hate to dislodge some anchors.
