Hi,
I have a garage build already under construction. New garage section I was able to install radiant heat in the floor. I have about 600 square feet of existing garage that has no heat. The new and old garage do not have a wall between them. Looking to see if I can add radiant heat into that ceiling. I will be insulating the ceiling and want to know what opinion you all had on if what I propose will work. I want to install 4' extruded transfer plates with the wide side sandwiched between the furring strips and the sheetrock. I am installing a solar domestic hot water heater and will have a heat exchanger to provide heat to this section of the garage. I dont need it super warm just want to keep it from freezing. Walls will have spray foam and I will install a reflective barrier between the ceiling insulation and the strapping to help drive the heat down toward the area I want heated. The pictures are just a mock up to get an idea of what I want to do.
