I have 220v 30amp circuit used for my AC . I would like to use it for a electric garage heater. Any suggestions for wiring it so that only one of the units car be using it, maybe some type of switch? I figure that in the winter I will not be using AC and I have not more room in my electrical box to add a breaker.

Buy two piggy back breakers for two of your 120v circuits. This will allow you two empty slots for another 240V breaker. You should have put this in the electrical forum.
