I've broken a couple of reverse levers. The first I was setting it in the ratchet and the second (on the ratchet below) broke getting banged around in a tool bag.
I've reused older ones with no issues and noticed them to be, how should I say... re-bendable. The newer ones are a crumbly pot metal.
So I bought a fat wood screw, chucked it in my vise and started filing.
In less than an hr I had this Stone Age looking pos. But who cares, it's solid brass.

Thanks.
I made the squared part that sits in the pawl a thousandth fatter than the factory lever so it wont get sloppy .
