Something like this, I wish they would make two versions, one as shown that goes down from Large to Small, and one that goes down from Small to Large. Flipping one around means that you can't see the markings on the front as clearly since they're angled away rather than towards you. If you could flip one around it would be easier to fit them side by side in the tool box.

If Tekton or someone else came out with a flipped set I would buy them in a heartbeat.

Oh, and while they're at it, remove the handle at the top, I only grab individual wrenches not all of them at once. And magnetic bottom to keep them from sliding around too please.

Here’s a reverse set by Ernst Mfg.

Tekton tool organizers are just repackaged Ernst items. You can find a way larger variety from Ernst at lower prices than Tekton. Just search Amazon using Ernst item name and model number. Most items are Prime, cheaper than the equivalent Tekton and made in the USA.

You can remove the handle on top pretty easily with a hack saw or Dremel.

A lot of the Ernst stuff is available from Summit Racing at much better prices than the Ernst website or Tekton.

Cool, thanks guys.

Dave from Tekton emailed me back and said they had no plans to expand their tool storage line up, so I guess the Ernst racks it is.

Ernst on Amazon or Summit, they have options from 5 to 16 wrenches. I'm glad you brought this up because I'm ordering some and wouldn't have even thought twice about it.

I use the Black ones for Metric and Red for SAE, I have a couple BluePoint racks in there too the Orange and yellow, Orange for SAE, Yellow for Metric.. also one of those is reversed, I use BOTH normal and reverse...

+1 on the protoco. They are low profile and have a foam strip on either side to hold the wrench in place. Tons of color choices as well.

+2 for the protoco....I don't care for the locking ones......they may be O.K. to keep your wrenches from moving around, if you roll you box around the shop, but my box stays in one spot and I like the fact that you can just lift the wrench out with no effort....

I have a lot of Ernst stuff. It’s all great. I’ve bought my stuff from Amazon, Summit and from Ernst direct. But I’ve bought all black socket rails in different lengths. Also, a big variety of black wrench racks. So some things were cheaper to get from Ernst.

I think Ernst is the OEM for Tekton on these.

I thinks so too, mine are identical.

I got my Ernst holders from Amazon, but I noticed my local Northern Tool carries them and the price is the same (or close) from what I recall.

I bought some with the different sizes engraved on the rack...of course I had to go buy more wrenches to fill the thing so I didn’t have any empty spaces.

Hey kkroger, what's the depth on that drawer? I was using the Ersnt wrench rails ((These ones), but they're too tall to fit in the shallow drawers on my Proto box, so I switched to the low profile rails; I was curious how shallow of a drawer the style you're using fits.

Do the wrenches slide side to side much on the Ernst wrench rails or the non-locking / non-grip trays?

I think the rails and non-gripper trays are hard plastic. So I thought maybe the wrenches would slide side to side with repeated drawer movement.

The snap on rails that are cut to lenght are hard plastic not rubber the wrenches do not move . as stated above drawer hieght can be a problem with some wrenches depending on drawer depth . In my krl the 2 inch drawers can take up to 24 mm and 1 inch wrenches in those racks my larger sets are in a 4 inch drawer they make the same rails in a larger size and those rails can take at least 1 5/8 wrenches . I dont have any of the rails glued down ( they come with double sided tape ) the rails can move if you slam drawers but for normal use they stay in place on my drawer liners, which are the snap on rubber liners not so much if you have the snap on foam liners I have no experiance with any other liners . also ernst makes the same rails that snap on sells ernst also makes some stuff thats magnetic to stick to the drawers however in my experience they do not stick through drawer liners . Unless you intend to carry you whole wrench set around I think the one piece racks that lock wrenches in are a pain and would be terrible in a shop application where you are using them all day , the ernst low profile racks are rubber but they eat up huge amounts of space
