Reversing Switch For 1 HP Motor

I'm building a horizontal bi-fold door on my shop. For an opener I found a boat lift winch with a 1 hp motor. I tested everything before mounting and it all worked fine. I got the winch mounted and turned the drum switch to raise the door and the shaft inside the switch broke. I now need a drum switch.

I'm not very savvy on AC electrics. I've looked here for a drum switch: https://electricmotorwarehouse.com/reversing-drum-switch/

Unfortunately I'm not sure which one to get. The old switch is just that: old. The label has worn off it so you can't read any of the specs.

It's a 1 hp single phase motor. I just want it to run both directions and stop in between. Can anybody tell me which one I need? I'm thinking the RS-1-SH for $68 will do the job, but I'm not sure.

Thanks.

What drum switch is on it now? Do you want maintained or momentary?

Might try this one

If I read it correctly, this one is momentary BOTH ways.

This one is a 3-pole switch.

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned I want it to stay on until I turn it off. The winch has to spool up fifteen feet of strap to open the door. That takes over a minute with the gearing the winch has.

All I know about the old switch is that it was made by GE a LONG time ago. All the rest of the labeling is worn off. It was the type that stayed on until you turned it off manually.

The bifold doors we've done have limit switches interlocked with a forward/reversing motor starter to prevent overtravel or winding it up too far and breaking something. They also have external motor brakes to hold the door in the open position.

You aren't going to get all that with a manual drum switch.

If your not that good with motors get one where the switching is the same. most common is forward all terminals straight across reverse top straight across then left center to bottom left and center right to bottom right.

Sorry if this sounds confusing but dont know how else to say it.
