I picked these up yesterday from my local asian tool supplier (Sam and Jakes if your local and wondering). They feel nice in the hand, are finished well and seemed to be stamped a bit thicker then the cheaper Chinese ones.

I bought some HF $3 knock offs like these awhile back, and broke one on the way home playing with its adjustments. Then broke another one after dropping it with the jaws open.

These hopefully will be a bit tougher, and for $12 if they work for a awhile ill be happy.

I will update this later, i just hope to help someone if they are searching for reviews on this stuff.

Might as well get those instead of the new Irwin Vice Grips...

Thats what the guy who owned the tool store said (jokingly). He also sells Irwin products so i could compare feel. In my hand, there was no difference. Im sure there are differences to justify the costs...but in a direct hand to hand comparison the weight was the same and the finish felt the same.

Ive only used them once this weekend. I had to hold a soft brake line steady while i tightened the hard line into it. Worked fine, but again it was not a hard use.
