Another cordless question: I have a friend who is a SO dealer so I can get a good deal on their 1/2" 18V impact gun.

I like the fact that it's made in USA (according to their site). Has anyone used this tool?

I'm leaning toward this and the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" impact (which is made in China).

Thanks,

Tim

The Milwaukee is stronger and has more bells and whistles. The Snap On is slightly smaller and feels a bit lighter. You need a hefty discount on the Snap On to make it comparable to the Milwaukee.

Yep I got it the CT7850 nice gun but not as powerful as the IR W7150 I have, much more power than the dewalt dw059

If the price is right it's a good gun but I would buy the IR again if I had to choose between the two. The Milwaukee is too new and I don't think anyone has really run it up against the other stuff in real life yet

I may be able to get it at 50% off retail.

I own the CT6850. I rarely use my air i powered impact since buying it. Since I am a home user, I like to be able to work out in the driveway or other peoples locations without worrying about needing the air compressor.
The battery lasts a long time, I just swapped all 4 wheels/brakes, and control arms/ front end suspension on 1 battery and Im sure it still has enough charge for plenty more.

Made in the USA will be Assembled in the USA but that is probably the closest we will get these days.

No complaints with any of my snap on cordless tools.

I have a snap on I got used and have only used my air gun a couple of times since, it's also portable so it gets far more use than the air gun ever did, cant imaging life without it.
