Hello all.
I do not know if this tutorial will be useful to you, maybe it is better for you to buy a new vacuum cleaner.
But for me it is better to save money.

Some photos here, the whole process on my blog. *** http://informationbyhotz.blogspot.com.br/ ***

I just did the same with a 40 year old 5 gal shop vac that was originally off white plastic and blue/off white metal container. Painted all of the plastic parts black with Fusion plastic paint and the container Saftey Red. Made a roller base and now it's like new. Probably could have bought a new one for $40 but it was a fun project.

I did a similar rejuvenation of a Fein vacuum I found at the curb waiting for the trashman. The vacuum was used to clean up sheetrock / plaster dust without a bag so the dirt got into the impeller. I few hours cleaning everything up and it runs PERFECTLY.

Cheers

Jim
