Rewire for Garage

I am looking to do some wiring in my detached pole barn/garage this winter. Right now it has conduit run but I want to add some circuits using BX. The pole barn/garage is going to be left unfinished...no sheetrock or OSB over studs. Is using BX code compliant with existing conduit?
