Hi all, anyone have an answer for this problem that I'm having with a Reznor garage heater?

Model # X105-3

When I turn the thermostat up for heat the fan keeps going on and off about 7 or 8 times, then it will finally run. Just replaced the thermostat, that did not help it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I used to work on a LOT of electric big space heaters at the coal mines . If there is not enough heat being made by the elements, or in your case, burner, the cold air blowing though will cool the 'clixon' (fan switch) enough to shut down the fan til it warms up again. If your Reznor isn't producing a ton of heat right away, the cool air flowing though the unit when the fan kicks on will cycle a few times til it does produce enough heat to continue blowing. Same will happen with electric space heaters that have that same 'clixon' and have elements burned out, or they heat up enough to produce hot enough air to keep the fan going. Hope this helps. If your unit turns on at all it's not likely it's your thermostat.
