I moved into a house with an additional shop that had a non working Reznor udap75 ceiling hung furnace. Upon inspection, there was an old gas valve and pressure switch laying on the top. Looks like the valve was replaced at one point. New one was installed. No pressure switch installed on unit.
Wires appeared to be jumpered together to make work. If the wires were disconnected, the vent motor would start. Then if they were reconnected, it would fire and blow heat. But, once the thermostat temp was reached, it would shutdown and not re-start.
After doing some searching for a new pressure switch, there seems to be quite a few to choose from. High altitude switches and 0- 6000ft, switches. This one that was disconnected was a high altitude switch I've found out. I live at 500ft. I guess that's why it was disconnected.
Anyone have any idea how to determine which 0- 6000ft. switch I need? And I'm assuming this was original owners problem. Will this fix this unit?
Thanks for your time.
