Looks good from what I can see except maybe your choice of electrical feed/cable. It's hard to see from the pic but that looks like some sort of rubber jacketed cable. It really should have more protection.

correct me if I am wrong... but shouldnt the T on the gas line be fed from the top, Drip leg on the bottom, and feeding the unit from the side.... that way everything that "may" come out of the line shoots past the opening instead of directly in the heater...

The use of the SO cord maybe ok if your local codes permit. Should be hard wired but if not at least a twist-lock plug.

Not sure how your shop is set-up and abit late now but the heater should blow warm air towards the area that is least insulated (Garage doors, windows etc..). By the picture it is on the same side as your garage door (unless you have another one on the other side).
