This is what my HVAC guy wants to use for my 3 car.

Had an older one in a shop, heats up the opposite wall a lot, so don't put the thermostat on that wall. Heats well, but underneath the heater it can be colder.

I am no expert, but with a three car garage as long as you have it facing corner to corner, I am sure it would be fine, some other options would be a wall mounted heater (takes away wall space, and is blowing heat at mid height), baseboard heaters (I don't think this is ideal for a garage that size) you could get a propane heater (torpedo or free standing, obviously not permanent, but heat the garage up quick and turn it off, not wasting too much).

The Reznor is kinda ideal though. I was just giving you some flaws about it. it is out of the way, will run off of a thermostat, heat up the garage quick. It is a name brand heater which is almost always good as well.

Reznor has been around for a long time and makes a good unit heater. My dad and I both have 100k BTU units in our garages and are very pleased with them.

If there is a dealer / distributor / parts department nearby then that would be a plus. If your hvac guy recommends this one it also makes it an even bigger plus. Most of these wall mount units seem to about the same when I was looking which one to buy. Some people like the kind which ***** the supply air from the outside. More for a spray shop or a greenhouse with a controlled environment. I used a thermostat mounted opposite my heater but I also fitted a remote sensor under the heater. With the thermostat I have you select which sensor to use or a combination of the 2.

Reznor units are top shelf equipment, much better then off brands like Big Maxx, etc. If your HVAC recommended a specific unit, thats the one I'd go with. I personally use a Reznor in my own garage and its great. My garage even in the coldest and snowiest of Colorado winters at 6300 feet, without the Reznor never got below 50 degrees; but now with the Reznor I keep the heat set at 60. If I want to heat the garage warmer then 60 the unit also a 60k btu heats the garage with ease in no time. I should also mention my garage doors are CHI steel insulated and the building envelope to the house is pretty tight, and there is heated living space above the garage. You'll want to make sure your garage walls and doors are insulated, where I live allot of garage doors in my subdivision are those fancy looking, high maintenance, wood overhead doors that provide no insulation value what so ever so if your garage lacks insulated doors and insulated walls your wasting money trying to heat the garage or trying to maintain a comfortable space.

Not sure what you do in your garage, but check in to sealed combustion and PVC venting with fresh air intake and combustion discharge vs a metal B-vent.
