Anyone have experience with these? I have a chance at getting two of them from a local store front that closed. Were working when taken down. The person selling them has no idea and can't even tell me the btu rating. I'm thinking they are 100k which is overkill for my garage but the price is right :) I will have to switch them to LP though. Looks like they are power vented which will help the install.

Reznor is top-notch product . . . maybe the best.

There are two versions . . . normal and SEPARATE combustion. S/C one draws in outside air to burn so you don't have to worry about fumes or dust in the garage itself. Obviously, SC is better model but installation costs are more as you have both Intake and Exhaust ducting.

Get a MODEL # and you can determine the Btu of the heater by "Mystery Shopping" a ficticious "repair" call into Reznor. ;) Yes, I've done that for potential CL purchase of 2 units as they ended up being real old, even though they looked like current models.

Get SERIAL #'s also and technician at Reznor can tell you exactly which Model you have, including Btu, and parts availability (ie the LP conversion kit).

If price is super cheap, I'd go for it.

How overkill is overkill? I have 40K in a 3 car garage and it seems about perfect. It's dry walled and insulated and the 40K brings the temperature up quickly. Once up to temperature the cycle times are appropriate. Your climate is just a tad colder than mine, not a lot.

Years ago I had a 150K kerosene unit. It was way too big and this was before I insulated the garage. Uncontrollable.
