Reznor won't light

I have an older Reznor unit heater. I used it a couple years ago and it worked fine. Didn't heat my shop last year. This year I could not get the pilot light to work. I disconnected the black pipe at the furnace (with good ventilation) and I have gas flow. I assume the thermocouple is not the problem - the pilot should still light with the button held in. Any ideas? I guess my next step is to remove the pilot assembly to see if there are any obstructions. Should I be able to feel or smell gas flow from the pilot when the control knob is depressed?

Thanks,

When button is pressed youll hear gas ad sometimes smell it. I have found alot of them plugged after sitting. Try to remove and clean and see what happens. sometimes you have to rebleed a gas line thats been sitting also.

Thanks guys,

Got it working. Not sure of the problem. I disassembled the pilot. Tube was clear but I'm not sure of the orifice - that's an awfully small hole. I found a small wire to put through it. I once again bled the main line by disconnecting the main line at the union, reassembled everything and it lit. When I got this furnace it had a power vent option on it, but the motor was frozen. I wasn't sure if I was going to vent it horizontally or vertically. I found a new surplus motor on ebay and everything seems to work fine. Now I just need to finish my vent pipe. Again thanks,
