I'm not from Iowa but my wife grew up in Norway, IA near Cedar Rapids. We fly in for a visit at least twice a year. I always think if I lived there I'd have room for a bigger garage.

as for property in Iowa, all you have to do is find a small town... lots of vacant lots and decent houses empty(most of the time)....
