After reading through multiple threads here I decided it was time to start my own. I recently purchased my first home, we built it so there are a ton of outside projects to be done which has caused a bunch of materials to accumulate in the garage as well as tools be spread everywhere with no current storage. First project to get some organization back was to build some shelves.

Here is Rev. 1 of the mentioned shelves.

After some time and thought I decided to go with Rev. 2

What's the big open space for you ask?

What else?

I have regained some organization in the garage but still have a lot of tool organization to be done. Next in the works is to build a rolling cart out of my 5 drawer husky top cabinet I got for 30 bucks and either buy or build a work bench (still undecided where I want to place it).

Here's how it sits now:

I have stayed pretty busy on installing a sprinkler system, dog run, and extending the drive way to get a whole lot done but I have made some progress.

I still need another set of socket trays and a couple wrench organizers and to keep digging through my tools.

And here's how it currently sits.

Have to cut down the chain link fence to use as gates for the dog run that will clear a big space. Also the post and concrete on the left hand side which I think is where I have decided to put my work bench.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel finally! And my wallet is feeling a lot lighter after all this!

Some other news sounds like I will be headed to Switzerland middle of August for job training. So who knows when I will get back around to this build thread at this rate...

I hired most of the concrete work out the right side had to be built up over a foot. I was going to do all the dirt and concrete myself but this company quoted me only about $100 more than I could have done it myself for! My time is worth more than $100.

Genuinely surprised you are allowed to concrete around that electrical transformer. And based on your pic, that thing is going to be half set in concrete and half (on the neighbor's side) not in concrete? Oh, you're gonna be popular...

I went out and grabbed a soil test kit. Which in my opinion came out much better than I was expecting.

The test chart

pH levels at 7 from what I read bermuda likes 6.5-8 best.

Low nitrogen need to apply some fertilizer.

Low phosphorus.

High potassium.

I'm glad I did this test as I almost decided to just get sod and call it good, but I think I will grab some fertilizer and throw my seed down.

Just laid the seed and got its first bit of water. Have it set to currently water 3 times a day 7 minutes each until I get some germination. Once that happens I will most likely change to twice a day 10 minutes each and apply some fertilizer. Now to go work on the fiancé's jeep so I can get it out of the way for the c10!

Not sure if I have posted pictures of it on here but here it is:
