I'm having some trouble finding info on the Ridgid 5000r vise. I need jaws for it and need to know who made it. I believe it's a Columbian D45 M5, NOT an M4, which is a 5 inch near as I can find.
I sure would appreciate it if someone on the board could measure the jaws on their D45 M5 for me. (I know somebody has got to have one.) ;) especially the mounting hole center to center!
And now for some pics.....Vise was free....

Here's what I know, one of the other vise guys will correct me if I am wrong. Ridgid & The Ridge tool Company were one and the same when it came to vises. They were originally Desmond Stephens vises and at some point Ridgid acquired them.

I am not sure about the Columbian connection. At first I thought there was none but then remembered on this thread some mention that Columbian may have OEM'd some vises for Ridgid in the latter years.

My guess is this vise is from the '80s. It looks to me like the grey craftsman vises of that time also. And I believe they had a 5 1/2". I can't find any info on the crafty vise jaws though.
