I went to this pawn shop shop and they had a Ridgid Compound Miter saw sitting all alone and wanting to go home. It called for me to take it home as it was a good little saw with its own little table.

After negotiations I was able to take this forlorn saw for $80.00 including the table. I did power it up at the pawn shop and it worked nice and smooth. After checking it does need a new blade as it has a couple teeth missing but otherwise then that I think it will work great this summer at my home as I have a project coming up to build a wall in my carport.

I do know it needs a good cleaning and dust collector bag and thats it. :3gears:

Does anyone know where I could possibly find a operators manual for it? I did a quick google search and all I found is those membership sites that then bombard your email boxes.

Thank you captaindiode that is what I was looking for. Thinking I will make a run down to Home Depot in a little while and pick up a blade and see what else is available for the saw.

Yeah I noticed that also as I did my initial search using the same search as Wamsutta using MS12502 and could only find several parts list for it. I knew that the saw was current enough to have it online. Once I saw the manual I saved a copy to my computer I then redid my search and found 2 different manuals. One that does not have the "leg set" and one that has a "leg set". Mine has the leg set. My saw is still on in the bed of my truck as I need to get my buddy over tomorrow to help me unload it safely.

Well after I got finished with a dental appointment and got home I had help and I unloaded and proceeded to clean the miter saw. As far as I can tell this is rather a nice home owners saw. I tried it out on a scrap 2 X 4 and it cut nice and then I cleaned it. Man that thing was parked full under the table, between the blade and the motor and it took a lot of poking and jabbing to get it all cleaned out.

After I got it all cleaned it cut much better but I think that is due to fact that the machine is not all jammed up.
