Hello all,
I purchased a WD1851 (6.5 HP, 16 gallon wet/dry vac) from Home Depot on Black Friday. I was out of town that weekend, so did in-store pickup.
Well just this evening I finally got around to putting it together, and partway through realized they'd passed off an HD1800 as a WD1851.
From what I can tell, this is the replacement and their inventory system views them interchangeably. However, the WD1851 has more than 1,000 reviews (on average, very positive ones at that) and the HD1800 only a handful.
Anyone know how they compare? They claim it's more powerful, but it doesn't exist on Ridgid's site to get specs (the WD1851's CFM rating differs on Home Depot vs. Ridgid's site, so don't know if Home Depot's numbers are reliable). Also concerned about quality slippage on this new model.
